From linear to circular: the vision for CirculUP!
The CirculUP! project is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by Impact Hub Network, Impact Hub Yerevan, and the Environment and Health NGO, with support from the European Union in Armenia.
Our shared mission is clear: to confront one of the most pressing challenges of our time by fostering a sustainable future through the widespread adoption of circular economy principles.
These principles create a new system ready to minimise waste, optimise resource efficiency, and nurture sustainable practices. It involves a shift from the “take-make-waste” mindset to one that focuses on regeneration, material reusability, and the intentional design of products and services with enduring value.
Why it matters
At the heart of our initiative lies the recognition that our current linear economy, marked by resource extraction, product manufacturing, use, and eventual disposal as waste, is a root cause of profound environmental and social issues.
Amidst the escalating global challenges of climate change, resource depletion, and waste generation, the circular economy emerges as a potent solution.
The impacts of the linear economy are pervasive, affecting the air, water, ecosystems, communities, economies, and the well-being of future generations. Addressing these challenges is our shared responsibility for a more sustainable and resilient future.

Empower civil society actors
We empower their active participation in the Armenian Coalition for Circularity, fostering collaboration and collective action for systemic change and sustainable business solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Foster circular entrepreneurship
We offer guidance, resources, and networking opportunities, to create a supportive environment in the Armenian entrepreneurial ecosystem, promoting the adoption of circular economy principles and eco-friendly practices.
Raise circular awareness
We prioritise circularity awareness and understanding among Armenians through education, community engagement, and various initiatives.
By reimagining resource production, consumption, and management, we aspire to build an equitable, regenerative, and resilient economy. This collective effort is crucial to encourage everyone to join in creating a sustainable and circular future.
