Momentum

Breaking silos by empowering young migrant and refugee women with access to vocational training and labour market opportunities through the social economy.

Since 2015, nearly 1 million young migrant and refugee women have arrived in the European Union. Momentum unites political, educational, and social stakeholders to foster collective problem-solving and insights sharing, creating an inclusive society for all.

Breaking barriers, empowering women

Momentum is a 24-month programme, running from January 2022 to December 2023, and funded by the European Union’s Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (AMIF). Through strategic partnerships with local stakeholders across five EU countries—Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Hungary—Momentum is committed to delivering vocational training that empowers participants with the essential educational and entrepreneurial skills required to successfully navigate the job market.

At Impact Hub Network, we harness our resources to strategically draw upon the expertise and knowledge repositories within Impact Hub Lisbon and Impact Hub Budapest to provide vital support to the programme.

Equity in action

Since its launch, Momentum has achieved remarkable success in advancing the integration of migrant and refugee women into the workforce. Through 25 workshops conducted in five countries, we have successfully brought together more than 120 participants, making significant strides in creating inclusive opportunities for all.
