Programme manager (24 months- 0.7-1 FTE)

 

Impact Hub Global is looking for a Programme Manager to work with our Programmes team to support the management and delivery of a program that aims to accelerate Food and Agriculture entrepreneurs and to develop an access to market ecosystem for those businesses in Colombia and Costa Rica. This position is open to professionals in the Social Impact space based in LATAM or LATAM nationals globally based. Applicants who are Makers or members from local Impact Hubs will be preferred. 

 

This role will be linked to the Programmes team within our global team and will directly report to the Global Programmes Portfolio Manager.

Overview

As part of this evolution, we are now looking for an exceptional individual to join us as the Improve access to markets for food & agriculture enterprises in rural regions of Colombia and Costa Rica: Programme manager.

 

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the agriculture sector across Colombia, Costa Rica and potentially the rest of LATAM and globally. The Programme Manager will be responsible for delivering the overarching programme and consulting with the local teams on their localisation of the design. Being part of the regular update calls between implementers cultivating good working relationships, and hosting the framework of collaboration with the various programme participants, Funders’ representatives, IH local staff and other stakeholders while implementing the programme. 

Job description

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinating programme planning and delivery activities, ensuring the timely delivery of content delivery, business support elements, communications, impact measurement and partnerships, among others. 
  • Designing and implementing the programme acceleration curriculum including ecosystem mapping, scouting, and liaising with local impact hubs for implementation.
  • Designing and implementing an ecosystem activation strategy for access to market stakeholders in Colombia and in Costa Rica in partnership with the local Impact Hubs.
  • Operational coordination and scheduling of programme activities.
  • Regular check on plans, budget and team progress together with the global team
  • Financial reporting and auditing preparation for multiple funders.
  • Coordinating all stakeholders involved in programme delivery based on multiple locations
  • Ongoing monitoring, data collection, evaluation and reporting in collaboration with the global Impact Measurement Team

Are we a match?

  • You have experience with management for multi-stakeholder programmes, particularly in a regional or international context.
  • You are a team worker and able to build relationships across a wide range of organisations and partners.
  • You are a good communicator with excellent written and verbal skills (fluent in English and Spanish). 
  • You have excellent user skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have delivered projects with one of the widely used project management tools. Working knowledge with project management tools (Monday.com, Zoho) is an advantage.
  • You are comfortable interacting with several stakeholders and able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary and distributed teams.
  • You have previous experience in understanding diverse market dynamics and can work across different cultures in a respectful way to the local reality
  • You have extensive financial literacy and experience reporting to funders such as the European Union, USAID, IDB or similar. 
  • You are passionate about and immersed into relevant topics, developments and conversations in the field of innovation.
  • You are open-minded, self-reliant, and excited about being part of a diverse, fast-paced, international environment.
  • You are able to demonstrate key components of the Impact Hub approach: entrepreneurship, collaboration, innovation and exceptional execution ability.

Contractual summary

  • Role: Programme Manager 
  • Position: Part-time to Full-time (min 0.7 FTE) for a period of 24 months (with the possibility of extending to 36 months)
  • Team Engagement: independent contractor
  • Reporting: Programmes and Partnerships Operations Manager
  • Location: Any LATAM country (being based in Colombia or Costa Rica is an advantage) 
  • Remuneration (independent contractor): 3,000 EUR monthly  (total cost to company as an independent contractor) depending on  country of residence (subject to Cost of Living Adjustments), seniority and experience at 1 FTE, lower capacity will trigger a pro-rata remuneration. 
  • The contractor will be responsible for paying their VAT and other local taxes applicable. 
  • Contract: 24 months contract from agreed start date (preferably April 1st 2024) with 3 months probation period.
