Shaping spaces that reflect community needs and values
Too often, the people who use public spaces every day are left out of the planning, design, and development processes that shape them. By combining local knowledge, lived experience, and community initiatives, SPICE aims to support the creation of more vibrant, inclusive, and liveable neighbourhoods.
SPICE (“Shaping Sustainable Spaces, Empowering Communities”) is a European collaborative project funded under Horizon Europe, New European Bauhaus. The project brings together public authorities, civil society organisations, creative and business actors, and research partners to co-create solutions addressing urban transformation, green transition, and social inclusion.
Our role
Impact Hub Network leads the monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities of SPICE. We support the consortium in measuring outcomes, assessing community impact, and generating evidence-based insights. Through the development of evaluation frameworks, indicators, and data collection processes, we help ensure that project activities contribute to meaningful and measurable change across participating communities.
