Empowering Diverse Dialogues for Change

Imagine a gathering where scientists, indigenous leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, economists, and passionate individuals from varied backgrounds unite. Our dialogues serve as a platform for this diverse community to shape local and global agendas, fostering learning and action to bring to light the true value of forests. With this collective wisdom, we ignite discussions that cultivate fresh ideas and initiatives, ready to be tested in real-world contexts.

Why forests matter

Forests are Earth's life-sustaining system. Each year, they inhale 2.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide - nature's deep breath - and exhale fresh, clean air for us to thrive.

These rich ecosystems host a diverse tapestry of life, preserving the Earth’s balance. Beyond the air we breathe, forests impact the water we drink, the food we consume, and the climate we experience. They hold profound knowledge of sustainability, wellbeing and indigenous wisdom. Just as their roots intertwine, our destiny is tied to forests. It’s our shared responsibility to respect, protect, and understand them, forging a world where humans and nature coexist harmoniously.

What’s on the agenda?

Inspired by the design thinking processes and Art of Hosting methods, each event convenes up to 50 curated participants, fostering a rich diversity of perspectives and knowledge. We invite passionate individuals from all backgrounds to be part of these transformative regional dialogues. invitations are extended to those eager to contribute and innovate, weaving together different viewpoints. Our mission is to unite scientists, indigenous leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs and passionate individuals, sparking discussions that lead to actionable solutions and real-world tested initiatives.

Did You Know?

Over 1.6 billion people, including 70 million indigenous communities, depend on forests for their livelihoods, highlighting the essential role of forests in our lives.

Forests harbour more than 80% of terrestrial biodiversity, including undiscovered species, making them vital sanctuaries of life.

Forests are a rich source of medicinal wonders, contributing to drugs like aspirin and quinine, demonstrating their importance to human well-being.

Below the forest floor, a hidden world exists where trees communicate via mycorrhizal fungi, creating a “wood wide web” that fosters nutrient sharing and mutual support.

Time spent in lush forests not only refreshes the soul but also promotes well-being. It reduces stress, anxiety, and enhances the immune system, providing a natural remedy for overall health and mental fitness.

How to join the conversation

We’re actively seeking participation from individuals of diverse backgrounds, including marginalised communities and all abilities, to enrich these transformative cross-regional dialogues. Limited invitations are extended to those who are passionate about contributing. Our goal is to bring together a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives, so please don’t hesitate to apply.
