Supporting micro-entrepreneurs in Brazil to accelerate their businesses.
The biggest free entrepreneurship training in Brazil
Developed by Impact Hub Floripa and sponsored by Sebrae (across multiple states), JP Morgan, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) under the United Nations, and Viacredi, Salto Accelerator is committed to accelerating and supporting small businesses in Brazil, generating positive social impact through accessible and relevant programmes.
With individual micro-entrepreneurs comprising nearly 70% of the Brazilian economy, small businesses form the backbone of the nation’s economic growth. Today, Brazil is home to over 15 million micro-entrepreneurs, each contributing to a resilient, dynamic economy.
Salto Accelerator was designed specifically for these entrepreneurs—whether driven by courage or necessity—to help them scale their businesses and build a supportive entrepreneurial community.
“Salto represented a major change of mind and the expansion of my vision as an entrepreneur. It is a complete programme, which helps us to improve and learn new strategies and skills. It was worth participating. I received lessons and friendships that I will carry with me forever.”
Vanessa Alves, Participant from the 2023 Salto Accelerator
Impact that keeps growing
Over the past seven years, Salto Accelerator has made a significant impact on Brazil’s entrepreneurial landscape. Designed as a specialised training programme for small businesses, Salto Accelerator has become a trusted source of knowledge, inspiration, and growth for visionary entrepreneurs.
Since early 2023, the organisation has taken an active role in mapping, engaging, and connecting with the expanding network of entrepreneurs in underserved communities across the country.
With 93 programme cohorts completed, Salto Accelerator has established itself as a positive force, impacting 7,608 entrepreneurs. These individuals have gone on to strengthen and expand their initiatives, empowered by the comprehensive training and support the programme provides.
