Impact Hub launches new” Issue-Based Ecosystem Building Methodology” during their 20th anniversary gathering in Armenia
An innovative six-phase methodology that unites diverse stakeholders to transform fragmented efforts into high-impact, systemic solutions that solve global challenges.
- Impact Hub Network
- Global team
June 2025, the Impact Hub Network launched its Issue-Based Ecosystem Building Methodology: a transformative framework designed to help communities, institutions, funders, and entrepreneurs collaborate effectively to address the world’s most pressing challenges.
As interconnected crises—from climate breakdown to healthcare inequities and economic instability—continue to escalate, this innovative framework offers a clear pathway for transforming siloed efforts into resilient, high-impact ecosystems that deliver lasting systemic change.
The launch coincides with Impact Hub’s Annual Global Gathering in Armenia (June 23-27), where Impact Makers from over 65 countries are convening to explore ecosystem building in practice and celebrate their network’s 20th anniversary. The event will also spotlight CirculUP!, a thriving Circular Economy initiative born in Armenia that demonstrates how cross-sector collaboration can drive national-level transformation.
"Issue-Based Ecosystem Building provides a practical roadmap for how Impact Hubs bring together diverse voices and resources to create solutions that are not just impactful, but built to last and scale."
Tatiana Glad, Executive Director Impact Hub Network
From two decades of practice to proven Methodology
Built on Impact Hub’s 20+ years of experience fostering collaboration across 120+ locations in more than 60 countries, the methodology distils proven practices into six actionable phases:
- Understand the issue – Map root causes and systemic barriers
- Engage stakeholders – Identify and activate key players across sectors
- Convene the ecosystem – Create spaces for meaningful collaboration
- Activate co-creation – Design and test solutions together
- Consolidate knowledge – Capture learnings and measure impact
- Amplify what works – Scale successful interventions
Unlike traditional one-off interventions, this approach prioritises long-term transformation by creating adaptive, inclusive ecosystems with shared ownership,data-informed decision-making, and entrepreneurial action at the core.
Real-world impact across three continents
The methodology is already delivering measurable results in diverse contexts:
- CirculUP! (Armenia): A national circular economy ecosystem uniting businesses, investors, and policymakers to reduce waste and accelerate regenerative innovation across industries.
- Innov’Keneya (Côte d’Ivoire): Partnering with Roche, Impact Hub Abidjan is convening over 50+ stakeholders to co-create digital tools that enhance cancer care delivery nationwide.
- Sustainable Food Ecosystem (Netherlands): A coalition of 250+ actors, supporting 150 impact-driven startups, driving 12 inclusive programs, and influencing key national food policy reforms.
These cases demonstrate how well-designed entrepreneurial ecosystems can unlock solutions far beyond what any individual effort can achieve.
Ready to scale global impact
"More than just a methodology, we are starting a movement, we’re building on what’s already working in communities around the world, inviting Impact Makers to deepen collaboration and move beyond fragmentation. The approach is proven, adaptable, and ready to transform how we tackle complex challenges—together.”
Tatiana Glad, Executive Director Impact Hub Network
