The Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneurs White Paper is an annual publication that captures the needs and challenges of women entrepreneurs in emerging economies. Drawing on 1,763 applications to the Women Entrepreneurs Award from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, it sheds light on both the data and lived realities of women-led enterprises.
The findings highlight persistent gender-based barriers, alongside the critical role of networks, local context, and business stage in shaping the support women entrepreneurs need. By distilling these insights, the white paper offers practical lessons and actionable recommendations for policymakers and ecosystem actors to create more inclusive environments where women innovators can thrive and drive social impact.
