AXES: Access to market in the sustainable food sector
Practical toolkit with self-assessment guide, tips, resources and success stories.
About the toolkit
In collaboration with Al Invest, Argidius, BioFin (UNDP), Republic of Colombia, and Comfama, this toolkit is designed to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the journey of accessing new markets.
It also offers guidance to the organisations that work with them. The toolkit brings together guidance, practical tips, tools, and resources to help MSMEs strengthen their market readiness and make informed decisions about expansion pathways. The content builds on the experience of the AXES program, which supports sustainable agrifood enterprises in Latin America to access new markets, with a strong focus on sustainability and deforestation-free value chains.
This resource is intended for:
- MSMEs willing to access new markets
- Entrepreneur support organisations designing market access programs
- Ecosystem conveners working in agrifood
Although the toolkit is prepared with a sector-specific lens, the methods mentioned can be used by organisations across sectors. The recommendations in this toolkit cannot be a replacement for legal and regulatory advice.
