After six years of working together, the Impact Hub Network is sad to see Impact…
“Hawai’i is unique in so many ways, and we want to move purposefully and recognize that. […] We are putting our attention and resources into building an inclusive network better suited to local businesses, networks and individuals. Our vision is a space where members can access multiple locations throughout the islands as they build their business and network. We felt that leaving the global network allowed us to focus and be more intentional in our efforts.” says George Yarbrough, Co-Founder and Co-Director of Impact Hub Honolulu.
Since launching in 2005, the Impact Hub network has undergone significant growth, now reaching over 17,000 members in 100+ locations across the globe. With this growth has also come a stronger focus on programming and trans-local collaboration: tackling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through incubation, acceleration, and scaling efforts for social entrepreneurs and innovators from all sectors across North America.
“On behalf of the Impact Hub network, we thank Impact Hub Honolulu and everyone who contributed to building the network in Hawaiʻi. We wish the team all the very best for their future endeavours, and look forward to seeing their forthcoming progress to help their local community.” says Maria Trindade, Global Network Development Director of the Impact Hub Network.
With 8 Impact Hubs, North America remains a key region for the Impact Hub network, and many committed Impact Hub teams throughout the region are continuing to establish multi-city programs around capacity building, convening of stakeholders, entrepreneurial acceleration, and scaling for impact ventures.
